• Who is Valley WIDE Shoes?
   

   

  Susan and Gary Gibbons created Valley WIDE Shoes in late Spring 2007 and have succeeded in writing a business plan, obtaining funding, acquiring a storefront, traveling to tradeshows, visiting “The World’s Largest Shoe Store” in Sharon, PA, painting Valley WIDE Shoes’ showroom, decorating our showroom (with help of friends and family, to whom we are very grateful), obtaining a point of sale and inventory control system, and – finally – putting shoes on the shelves. Not bad for six or seven months of sixteen hour days.

• Why do you only stock wide sizes?
   

   

  We found a need and are trying to fill it. After traveling to seven stores to get one pair of shoes, Sue said, “We ought to start our own store for wide sized shoes.” At first we laughed, then a couple of weeks later we realized we had found something that we could do and that would also help hundreds or perhaps thousands of people in the Lehigh Valley.

  - Army & Navy in Allentown (Grape St)

  - Lehigh Safety Shoes in Allentown

  - National Footwear on Tilghman St just off Rte 309, Allentown
